Concept
The project represents the continued architectural development of Culture Club Revelin, situated at Revelin Fortress, one of the most significant historic sites within the walls of Dubrovnik. Today, the fortress serves as a multifaceted cultural venue, blending heritage architecture with nightlife and events.
The intervention focuses on the further refinement of the interior spaces and public facilities, carefully integrating new architectural elements within the existing stone structure while preserving the character and authenticity of the historic monument.
Purpose
The project included the further development of the club interiors, the redesign of public sanitary facilities, and the activation and extension of the large outdoor terrace. These interventions improve visitor comfort and circulation while supporting the multifunctional nature of the venue, which hosts concerts, performances, and international club events.

Interior Strategy
The interior approach emphasizes minimal yet precise architectural interventions. New elements are inserted in a way that respects the monumental stone envelope of the fortress, allowing the historic fabric to remain visually dominant while contemporary layers enhance functionality and atmosphere.
Lighting, materials, and spatial organization were carefully adapted to the unique vaulted spaces of the fortress, reinforcing the dramatic spatial qualities that define the club experience.
Public Facilities
Special attention was given to the redesign of public sanitary facilities, improving capacity, accessibility, and durability for high visitor numbers. The new facilities were designed with a clear and contemporary architectural language that remains visually restrained within the historic environment.

Terrace
The large exterior terrace forms one of the most distinctive spaces of the venue. The project enhanced its spatial organization and usability, allowing it to function as an open-air extension of the club as well as a venue for events and gatherings overlooking the historic harbour area.
Realization
Through these interventions, the project strengthens the role of Revelin as a contemporary cultural venue while maintaining the architectural integrity of the historic fortress. The development demonstrates how carefully calibrated interior architecture can support new urban uses within protected heritage structures.
